Spherical roller bearings with two rollers primarily bear radial load, but can also withstand axial load in either direction. They feature high radial load capacity, making them especially suitable for heavy loads or vibration applications, though they cannot bear pure axial load.

The outer ring raceway has a spherical shape, providing excellent self-aligning performance that compensates for concentricity errors. These bearings contain two symmetrical spherical rollers and a common spherical outer ring raceway, with the inner ring featuring two axis tilt angle raceways.

The self-aligning capability allows normal operation even when the shaft is bent or misaligned during installation. The aligning angle tolerance ranges from 1 to 2.5 degrees depending on bearing size. In addition to radial loads, these bearings can withstand axial loads and offer good impact resistance, though they typically operate at lower speeds than other bearing types.
